This hat gives you that cabled, textured detail without the need to actually make cables!
The pattern is written for working on 1 or 2 sets of It starts out on one set until the decreases in the crown require dividing the stitches in half and working with both sets or using double pointed needles to finish the crown. Simply make the changeover to two circulars or the Double Pointed Needles when it is too hard with only 1 set of circular needles. The row count doesn't really matter as you will go by measurements for the height of the hat.
